This site is made as more of a modern memoir for myself and my family ( and anyone who might care to know, so likely just family ;) ) When my father passed we didn't have much to remember him by. He left knick knacks and baubles. He recorded a record on cd ( he had some cool friends that donated studio time, nothing famous here ). So the only audio I had of him was on that cd. Additionally he had no video. We had one video on VHS that was lost in many moves between himself and my mother. And we only had that because we borrowed someone elses camcorder. As I thought about the memories that my father had left I realised that I was on the same path. When my father passed I realized how very important everything was that he had left me to remember him by, or to know what he never told me. To read between the lines of what was said and what wasnt through his possetions or various notes. I didnt want those that cared to have so little to work off of. It hurts enough to loose someone, it hurts more to keep loosing them do to our ever failing memory.
I took computer science for a programming degree in college and graduated just before 9/11 in the US. I had let my programming education go to the wayside. So I am also learning html/css etc all over again so that I can see the project through to its end. I also plan on having a backup, for my family. You never know when a hosting service will go down or some other odd thing might pop up to erase history on the internet.
For those that care to know...I am agnostic. I do beleive there is something else but would never profess to know what that is, or what it even means. If I have not already, I will likely add a page for my beleifs, somewhere on this site. I am pretty open minded. I beleive in doing the maximum good that I reasonably can while minimizing the maximal bad (whatever either of those might really be). I love technology even with all of its flaws. I love nature. My favorite fictional media is science fiction. I do enjoy fantasy and most of the other genres as well. I am an avid board gamer, pc/console gamer, miniature gamer. I enjoy adventures and role playing games. I dable in religious, philosophical, and political topics from time to time ( or until I get tired of all of the negativity ). Sometimes I have to take a break from those last topics, it can be a lot. I would say for this day and age, but I get the feeling that every age feels like that and that every age feels like some decade was better than whatever decade we have now. I beleive that most ( if not all ) people do the best that they can, even when they dont think that they are. And as I write this I realise that I am talking about my beleifs just as I said I would talk about them later ;).
